Last night’s Patty Griffin concert was SO good. And this now makes the 4th time I’ve blogged about her, and the 5th time I’ve seen her. In honor of the event, I’ve put together a Patty Starter Set. I can’t call it her Top 10, because I have about 40 Faves. Last night, she totally rocked out on “No Bad News,” which you know is unusual, if you’ve ever seen her play live. Often it's mellow throughout the show. Good news for folks in my neck of the woods – she plays again tonight, and is bringing a “Special Guest” (which probably means Emmylou Harris.)

I am so jealous you got to go! I am a fairly recent Patty convert and she has quickly risen to the top of my favorites list. Thanks for the sampler list...there are a few I haven't heard yet and will have to check out!

I am not sure if you remember me from DLU...I am one of Rachel's friends. But I to share a deep love for all things patty! We were going to try and make it to Nashville for her concert but it didn't work out. My favorites are "Change" and "Rain" but I love them all. It is so great to find other patty lovers!! Hope all is well and I feel like a total voyer b/c I read your blog everyday!

I love her too but that picture is very strange. One of her eyes looks way bigger than the other! I bet the concert was awesome!!
It comes in a box with two packets of the seasoning. I usually find it with the "cup of soups." It is in a box about that size. It's the Lipton Garlic and Herb, they usually have several different flavors. I hope you can find it because it makes the best side dish! Remember not to cook it too long or the veggies get mushy! :)
"Makin' Pies" is on my top 10 list. 1000 Kisses is a wonderful album all around. Wish I could have been there with you. I used to do publicity for Patty. So fun!
i was a wee bit disappointed she didn't sing 'makin pies' last night! but, yet again, a fabulous show it was!

i know this is an older post, but i just saw it and i simply must comment as patty is one of my faves also! very nice starter set -i love the ones, especially, you included from the impossible dream album. it's hard to have favorites with her because she has so many amazing songs, but "top of the world" is pretty tough to beat..
