CSA Ends - One More Week

Sigh...Only one more CSA Week left. This week, we're splitting this load...White (Lumina) Pumpkin, Watermelon, Green Bell Pepper, Purple Pepper, Radish, Some Unknown Root Vegetable, Some Unknown Dried Beans, Green & Red Tomato, New Potato, Yellow Squash, Onion, Cukes. Anyone know what the whte root vegetable in the middle is? They are in the middle w/the leafy stem.

Would any of you like seeds for a white Lumina Pumpkin or Long Island Cheese Squash (a pumpkin variety)?
I'm making purees as we speak (er...blog) & will save them for you gardeners.

I think it is parsnip. I could be wrong, I can't see it that well, but I know parsnips are white and long like that. If it is, then yummy! I love roasted parsnips!

I also think it's a parsnip. Great addition to chicken noodle soup.

sorry, it is not horseradish! Wrong translation!!! But I do think it might be a radish-kind of like a turnip. Tastes good in salads, great addition to soups! Rettich in German! :)
