I know you may think that I've started a blog to brag about the fabulous accomplish- ments of my son. Yes, that's partly true. But also to tell you about the absurd and the embarrasing parts of life also. So here's the embarrasing...I make Lance hide the Oreos. When he forgets to hide them for me, I end up eating...oh...like 30? Oh, my belly aches. I think I might be sick.

Carrie,
I am the same way about Oreos, except I prefer the Double Stuf Oreos. I have never gone so far as to ask Josh to hide them though. That's a great idea, except then you don't get to eat any Oreos!

The only way I stay away from Oreos is not to buy them. Not walking down that aisle at the grocery helps as well. And if they are buy-one-get-one-free then I just avoid the store altogether. We can live on relish and flour for a week, right?
You look like you could use a few oreos!!! :) That's a compliment by the way.
And about the job offer...it's such a hard call. If you could use the money and enojy your "adult time", it may be a good move. But if you think about it too long, you realize they grow so fast and they are only this little once. No amount of money is worth being away from your child. Could you do anything part time? B/c it truly is the best of both worlds.
you are in good company, my friend! i have to tell you that my compulsion is starcruches! i seriously can't buy them because i'll eat the whole box...in one sitting. it's pitiful! oh, and i just discovered your blog, so don't stop!!! this is how we can stay in touch since once a week at church and a quick "hi" aren't enough. hang in there, and who cares if you eat 30 oreos...you're a mommy...you DESERVE it! ;)
Now THIS is the Carrie I know!! :-D
