I am a witness. The Witness. To a fatal car accident yesterday. On the same quiet street, half a mile away, from the house we’re buying in a few hours. Seconds later, it might have been me in that wreck. I will not post the details here, but it was a difficult experience.
I wrestled with whether to share this with you. But I’m writing this to say 2 things:
WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS. Such a small thing might have saved this life. Secondly, go right now and hug the necks of the folks you love. Life is too fleeting not to let those you love know it.
Now go. Start hugging those necks.

I'm glad you're safe, Carrie -- you are so irreplaceable. Love you!!
Oh my gosh!!! That is TERRIBLE! I'm glad it wasn't you! I mean, not that I'm happy it was someone else...
P.S. call me. I still have those hoops.
Wow, how scary! I'm so glad that you weren't involved.
I am so sorry you had to witness that....
also, I did not make Phillip's cake-I used a lady who used to work at becker's bakery (brandon & sheryl gave me her number) & her cakes rock--she delivers also!! Good luck on your closing & move! Have a blessed weekend!
I know that was traumatic for you to witness. I, too, am glad you and E are safe. Thank you for the important reminder we should wear our seatbelts...
