Have you ever seen anything like this? I saw this on a website, and have been trying to figure out what it is! I think it might be called a "bakfiet," but I can't tell...I may have just made that up. Anyway, I WANT ONE. Have any of you seen one of these or know anything about them???!!!

Carrie - Thanks for visiting and passing on the Patty love! I have to confess that I've visited you already through Rachel's blog in the past and felt an instant connection as I saw you blogging about Patty and about environmental issues - I like to think of myself as attentive to both of those topics. Happy blogging!
it looks like the "taxi's" in Mexico.

let's try that again...i found the above link for you - maybe that will help! i've never heard of a bakfiets before, but it does look like fun!
You won't believe this but my dad makes them!! After going to Nicaragua and seeing their version he was inspired to start making them himself. He's made 4 or 5 of them and just brought one to us on their last visit for Sophie. We call it a "bump-bump", since that's what my neices and nephews named it. Would you like to put in an order??? Hehe... I'll have to post a picture for you on my blog.
Oops Carrie - I told you 350 oven on that recipe when it is actually 450! I realized that tonight as I was making them!
It's so funny Amy's dad makes those contraptions!
I think Kramer drove one on Seinfeld, if that helps!
can I stick both of my kids in it & tote them around??!! Looks fun...are you gonna get one??!!
Here's what I've found so far...Looks like the only American distributer of these Dutch bikes is http://www.dutchbikes.us/ in Florida. There may be others, but this is it, as far as I can tell. Hold your horses, friends, it's $2,500. I would love to ride my kid(s) to school in the future in one of these, but for now I must hold off...
