So one of my goals for 2008 is to actually use my Juicer. In 5 years of marriage, I've used the wedding gift once. It's a shame because it's such an awesome way to get in some good nutrients. So now that my hunger has kicked it up a notch, and Ethan is becoming pickier, I thought I'd give it another go...Ethan LOVED his Carrot/Apple/Cabbage/Kale Juice!! His nose was stuck in that cup for like 5 minutes. Victory! I'm very encouraged by all the possibilities & new ways to get some fruits & veggies in our tummies. Any of you have any good juicing recipes?

oooh, I used to have a juicer and i loved it! I juiced a lot when I lived over in Royal Arms during college. I loved the carrot/apple combo.
it's been a long time since we juiced, but i know we've still got some recipes laying around.
we quit because it was such a pain to clean up and get the pulp out of the machine.
how'd you guys make it less of a hassle?
I'm sure it's packed with nutrients, but that combination sounds toxic! I am sitting here eating Gummi Bears, though...
Eww, I'll try anything and that does not sound appealing. i think i'll just continue to let Smoothie King handle all my liquid nutrient needs!
"So now that my hunger has kicked it up a notch" ...I was a little confused by this comment until I read your 12/30 post!
CONGRATULATIONS to all 3 of you! I'm praying for you and your little bun-in-da-oven! YAY!
Yeah...I have always wanted to juice but never really have. Dr. Oz (Oprah's Dr. guy) is a huge advocate of it...
newton, my juicer isn't that hard to clean. it's a pretty basic one. not a champion juicer with all the bells & whistles...And I must tell amanda & karina that the apple flavor really dominated the other flavors!!! It was yummy - a toddler doesn't lie!!
Hey Carrie- I don't know you well but we got to OC together. I LOVE your blog- I am especially interested in the recipes. I am joining a CSA this year and am very excited. I found some great Juicing recipes at Sara Snow's website (also a great recipe for vegan chocolate cake I am dying to try)! It is www.health.discovery.com/fansites/sara-snow/recipes/getfresh-juicing.html. Hope this helps!
