Toddler Feeding Tricks

With the help of my mom & Lance, I have some new tricks for feeding my little boy. They revolve around three things he loves...

Idea #1 - Noodles: The kid LOVES noodles. So now that he’s refusing to eat steamed broccoli, lentil soup, etc., I just put these things on top of a few noodles. So far, he’s gobbling them up!

Idea #2 - Toothpicks: My mom made him some little treats beautifully presented with a little toothpick. Again, he didn’t have a second thought! These had carrots, papaya, blueberry & peas. He won’t touch peas or carrots, but has no problem with them on a toothpick!

Idea #3 - Juices: Okay, I’ve mentioned this one already, but it’s just so easy to throw in some spinach, carrots, etc. for a delicious little juice!

YEAH! I feel like just these three things is really getting us back on track with some good food in my kiddo’s tummy.

I love the toothpick idea! I used to do that w/ elijah, so I should start doing that again for emet! I'll bet he would love it!
About the necklace- of course you can buy it! How about I just remove the shipping charges from etsy right before you're about to purchase it, that way a "sold" statistic will show up on my shop and you can give me some positive shop feedback, but you won't have to pay shipping. Just let me know when you're ready and I'll edit it.

The other night I cooked some veggies (zucchini, mushrooms, peppers) in olive oil & garlic. Then I added them to spaghetti sauce and served it over rice noodles. Luke LOVED it.
Thanks for the info about oats. I had heard the same thing, that the growing process contaminated oats (something about crop rotation with wheat). Great to know that there are some oats that are safe!

Great Ideas! Thanks. Hannah is younger than Ethan but I have discovered that since the "coolness" of using a fork right now is big to her, if I put the veggies on a fork and give them to her, she eats them right up!

toothpicks ARE like magic, aren't they? we use them all the time. i have to send one with lilly's lunch for her to eat certain fruits and veggies with. i keep waiting for a note from the teacher about a stabbing incident asking me not to send toothpicks anymore. i'm going to have to try the juice idea--i haven't done that yet, but it's bound to be a great way to get good stuff in them.
