So the mystery plant that popped up in our new fence row of irises is most certainly a cantaloupe plant! We have about 7 cantaloupes growing. So far we've finished off one of them, and they were TASTY! Now that was some easy & fun gardening. My poor husband, who thrives on order & symmetry, has been patiently enduring the crazy sprawling cantaloupe plant. The other day, he said he was actually glad that he never dug it out. It was just that tasty.

How neat! Cantaloupe is my absolute FAVORITE fruit, but it has to be a good one...

If you ever find yourself overrun with cantaloupe, don't forget you have a niece or two who can take care of that problem in short order. :)
