Dying Easter Eggs

Dying Easter Eggs was always one of my very most favorite holiday traditions of all. But as a parent of a child allergic to eggs, it was a tradition that I thought my kids might never get to experience. But now that we've kicked that egg allergy to the curb, we can finally join in the fun! Since we are buying most of our eggs directly from farmers, we have a majority of brown eggs. I wasn't sure how they would turn out. But they are beautiful! I absolutely love the colors. I know the tradition is bright, vibrant colors, but these colors look so beautiful and rustic. Maybe I'll do this all year round! (I hid the stickers that came with the eggs. They ruin a pretty, simple, dyed egg. Don't you think?!)

I agree with you about the more rustic looking eggs. When I was growing up a neighbor, German immigrants, taught us to dye with onion skins, violets, buttercup leaves, etc. A fav memory!
I love always seeing Etan's enjoyment of the many activities that you involve him in.
