(pictured above, before cooking & adding the sauce on top.) This is, hands-down, my favorite thing to do with cabbage. Cabbage Rolls are delish, although a few years ago, I made Bierocks, which also ranked up there!

Though I have never heard of bierocks one of my most memorable meal was cabbage rolls topped with lots of richly seasoned tomato sauce and served with mashed potatoes. The rolls were tightly stuffed with a ground beef mixture and cooked in a deep heavy dutch oven piping hot. The girl who cooked them was a newlywed from Yugoslavia and her name was Kata. Zoe

i have never made those & they look yummy! gonna add it to my list to make when we get back from the beach next week! but, i will have all the ingredients hand-delivered to my pantry and fridge ;-)
