If you, like me, have been wondering who to tip this Christmas season, I found this
helpful guide. Here are the big two service folks: The trash guy, with a recommended $15-$30 each. And the mailman, a non-cash gift, value of up to $20 is recommended.

All of a sudden, I am totally stressed out...You think they'll mind if I make them something???
I made the mailman cookies with a thank you note. I've done this in the past and he enjoys them.I made some for the sanitation guys but my husband was on the phone and couldn't give them the cookies so I'll make them some for after Christmas. I also made some for the local fire station and they liked them too!!! As the old saying goes, I really do think it's the thought that counts!!!
Didn't mean to stress you out! If it makes you feel better, this is our first year to tip, after 5 years of marriage. I don't think it's a super-big deal, just appreciated.
Also, the article even says no cash gift for the mailman. And even though it suggests money for the trashman, it also says that if it's a truck w/a mechanical arm, that it's not really necessary at all. So I think cookies or something would be just fine in either case.
