Katie Belle's Doggie Party, Part 1
I had a lot of fun finally decorating for a girly birthday party!!! I'll post again with some pictures of our awesome birthday girl, but here are some pictures of the party.
I thought it seemed appropriate to tie the balloons to the fire hydrant. But they flew away! My husband is the pro-knot-tier. That's what I get for doing it myself.
My sister-in-law sells cakes. Aren't they awesome?!?! She's fantastic & it matched the invitation so well. Let me know if you want her number!
Among other foods, we served "pupcorn", "puppy chow" and dog biscuits (made from this graham cracker recipe.) Another talented sister-in-law made the cutest doghouse cookies.

We hid stuffed dogs (scored at the Dollar Tree) around the house and the girls hunted for the dogs. Then they took them to the doggie spa & put collars on them, and combed their hair.

precious!
How Cute! That is a great idea! AND of course the cake is awesome! Elizabeth is great!!!
((I have been meaning to tell you that you can link me to your blog if you want to. No problem if not! :-))
I was just wanting to know how you made the puppy chow if you made it without peanut butter. I really like it and would like to know if there is a safe way I could make it and not have peanut butter near my son with allergies. Thanks!
I bet that sunbutter would be delicious in puppy chow. Can you eat sunbutter? (made from sunflower seeds?) It's my favorite pb-alternative.
I'm not sure how long you have been reading, but my son is past his peanut, milk & egg allergies! YEAH! He still has tree nut allergies though.
If you would like to read the most recent update on his allergies (which isn't that recent!) see below:

so cute! love it :) lilly had a dog party when she turned 1--wish i had thought of some of those ideas!
Thanks for the tip. I may have to try the sunbutter in it and see how it turns out. I'm glad he is past his peanut allergy - that is great news!
