All Tapes on Deck

I learned a valuable lesson from my mama. Before you throw something in the trash, see if it can serve another purpose. That brings me to several mixed tapes I had in my possession. Years ago, this scene would be money down the drain. But now, they were destined for the trash. But before we did, I let the kids pull out all the tape! It was a good 30 minutes of quiet time around our house!!! I did keep a few tapes, for sentimental purposes, even though I have no way to listen to them anymore. It was so worth the peace & quiet.

30 minutes is 30 minutes. You will see box tops and perforated packaging that looks like scary eyes in the near future as we make our move to our new house. Hopefully 30 minutes of adventure for the little ones. Is it weird to say I am so proud of you about the use of the tapes; it is definitely in the family line on my side. And by the way; I have at least 2 tape recorders still in the packages! Love, Mom

A couple of days ago I saw a 3 foot vinyl cord that had been hacked in two. This morning the handyman used it to hold up the vented hose that kept separating from the duct tape that was holding it to the ceiling where it was being vented. It's so cool how being resourceful can give the same feeling as painting a beautiful picture. One wants to go back and look at the thing over and over again.
