This upcoming weekend, we will be undergoing the 9th move in 6 and a half years of marriage. It will be the fourth move into the same house. I thought about explaining all this, but it's entirely too confusing. Anyway, I'm not looking forward to it...or the 10th move, which is to come again in a few months! I am looking forward, however, to spending more time with family.
The good news is that we've finally reached a settlement with our insurance, and renovations will begin next week. This means that we'll have to sort out the entire contents of our house into 2 piles - long term storage & stuff we'll need for the next 3-6 months. It's quite a job! Have I started? Barely.

Been there, done that--the whole living in two different modes, short term and long term. Take my advice and play it safe, be sure to have all your clothes somewhat available. You may not think you need them, but if something goes wrong (like a flood in your almost finished-but not moved in yet) house, then you'll appreciate at least having access to the next season's clothes. I hope it goes well. How did it go with the cabinetmaker?
that sounds pretty miserable...
good luck!
Praying for you!
wow man, sorry about the moves. that can be so tiring especially with little ones! Hey- have a great birthday tomorrow too! Are you doing something fun for the big day? I came across my journal from Wien the other day and flipped through it a little and read some of your birthday-day way back in 1997... i can't believe that was 11 years ago! i can't believe how many kit-kats i could eat in one sitting at a train station then either, but that's another story... ( : Hope you have a great b-day!
