Gas Prices - Sheesh! It hurts to fill up my tank these days. Lance needed a new car, so bought himself one of these fuel-efficient babies. I can't wait until it's time to ditch my gas-guzzler! I'm trying to drive less, but other than that, haven't taken any huge money saving measures. It's time now, though! So I'm wondering...What are you doing these days to save money? Or are you just putting less in savings?

savings? what't that? :) no, i am just putting less gas in the tank. but - shsssshhh - dont't tell him.
Surely Julia & I aren't only ones spending silly amounts of money to fill up the gas tank!??
Even with a tiny two door ford focus, gas costs a lot...with three road trips in one week...birthdays, births and a bike race...it's been an expensive week!!! Our next weeks are not nearly so busy so I'll be driving less...that's about all I'm doing.
I drive a Honda Civic, so I guess the gas mileage isn't too bad. The gas bill is just a larger chunk of everyone's bills right now. A funny, somewhat related story... I took Rad to a park in Brentwood early one morning a few weeks ago. By the time we were ready to leave, about 10:30 a.m., I counted 23 SUV's and 3 small cars in the parking lot. So, lots of people are still guzzling that gas!
I'm just thankful Keith doesn't still drive almost an hour to work! That makes a big difference for us.
i reduce my trips, park and walk more, leave the A/C off, long for efficient bus route, wish nashville drivers were bicycle friendly, and laugh every time i see a Hummer drive by (since that makes my pathfinder look more fuel-efficient!)
I am trying to incorporate errand running into one big trip instead of lots of small ones and just driving less in general. I also found a new job - only 15 minutes from home as opposed to the hour I had been driving! And in general just trying to cut corners in other areas (entertainment, clothes, "fun" stuff) to compensate for the high gas costs!
