My favorite craft of the month is Ethan's quilt! I hope I can finish before we move back into our house. For my very first quilt, I'm glad I chose easy stripes. I machine stitched the top, and I'm doing the quilting by hand. I've borrowed Lance's aunt's old quilting frame. It takes up huge part of the room, but it works great!

I've even gotten some help from my boys.

Carrie, I'm always amazed at your creativity. The quilt is looking great and what a treasure for Ethan. I have a quilt that my great-aunt made when I was a little girl (I won't say how old it is!), and even though it has some tattered places now, I still love that "Aunt Pearlie" made it for me.
you are so talented!!! i love the colors you chose too. will this be on ethan's big boy bed?
Carrie, It's looking good so far! How did you decide to quilt the brown parts? I'm very impressed!
Wow! Very impressive! It is going to look great on a bed!!!
I am so impressed. Maybe you can hold a quilting class when you are done. We could bring back the old school church quilting bees.
That's really fantastic Carrie! That will be something that gets passed down to all the generations. So cool! Oh, and I love your new blog look! Very nice.
thanks everybody! i'm really enjoying it. but...a class? ha! I would love to do a quilting bee at church with squares by everyone! if we could get marge & betty to teach us! ...marge? betty? are you reading this???
karina - i'm quilting cars/trees on the blue stripe, and a curvy squiggle (kinda like a road) on the brown. i'm liking it!
