In Stitches

This lovely bracelet is courtesy of the hospital where I got stitches last night. Yes, I get an A+ in stupidity as I accidentally kicked in a window pane from our side door and glass flew all over, but mostly into my leg. I will spare you photos of the stitches, mostly since they make me want to pass out and/or vomit. I'm so irritated with myself. Here's to hoping for a accident-free day.

ooo ooo ooo! I hate that for you. Plus, blood makes me pass out. Sorry you had to go thru it! Can I do anything for you?

Carrie, How did you do that? That sounds terrible! I hope it wasn't too bad. I would like to see a photo, though. Guess I'm kind of gruesome that way! Too many years of PT, I guess. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Why on earth were you kicking out the window of your back door? Did you and Lance make another crazy bet? Hopefully, HE lost $5 this time!

okay, okay. here's the story. i had come inside & was closing the door, baby in arms. the door needed an extra oomph to lock, so i used my knee to push it a bit harder. i SHOULD have kneed into the wood part of the door, but i put my brain on backwards that morning & kneed the glass instead. this is why i get the dummy award of the day. thanks for all the concern, it didn't (and does not) hurt, but there was alot of blood & just required a few stitches. it made me SO grateful to have lance & other family nearby to leave work to watch ethan & drive me to the hospital!

karina, maybe you could take the stitches out? does that sound like fun?

It actually does sound like fun, but staples are actually more fun to remove!

Wow, I'm glad that it wasn't too bad. I hope that you're doing okay still. When I saw the picture and read the title, I assumed Lance was the one who needed stitches!!
