Cloth Napkins

You might remember when I made these cocktail napkins and these regular cloth napkins. They remain one of my favorite projects, because I use them quite frequently. Well, way back then, I had a request from my mother for some cocktail sized napkins. I finally got around to making them for her!

If you'd like to make some of your very own, here are some instructions. For regular-size, try Chez Beeper Bebe (although I used instructions from Lotta Jansdotter's "Simple Sewing".) For cocktail-size, here are some instructions for cocktail sized napkins. (I used this tutorial as a guideline, but used a straight stitch, and cut 10 1/2 inch squares, instead of 9" squares).

yes, textile fabric. my mom picked it out. it's one of those fancy japanese textiles. for the gift, i told her i would buy a specific amount of money in fabric, plus my time. But I would sew her as many as she wanted, if she wanted to buy more fabric than my budget would last, I would sew them...
